The frame of my 3D printer was initially designed by Alex Lee, an American CNC enthusiast. It is made from some of his custom parts, universal OpenBuilds parts, and some custom 3D-printed components of my own. I built the entire printer independently and had to critically think through how to fit and connect all the electronics as well as configure the firmware. I’m constantly making improvements to the machine in both hardware and firmware configuration.
